A business built on skill
To be straightforward, I wanted to build a business of my own — one based on practical skills and a service people genuinely need.
ABOUT IVORY MOUNTAIN
A specialist surface repair studio founded by an architecture graduate — built on the belief that damaged surfaces can often be repaired rather than replaced.
MEET THE FOUNDER
I founded Ivory Mountain after studying architecture — and after learning, as a tenant, how expensive a small piece of damage can be.
University of New South Wales (UNSW), Australia
Architecture taught me to look closely at materials: their colour, texture and finish, and the way light falls across a surface. I bring that same attention to detail to every repair.

WHY I STARTED IVORY MOUNTAIN
To be straightforward, I wanted to build a business of my own — one based on practical skills and a service people genuinely need.
While renting, I accidentally damaged some fixtures and surfaces. The damage looked minor; the deduction from my deposit wasn't. Much of it could have been repaired for far less than replacing it.
Helping a tenant keep their deposit, bringing a valued piece of furniture back, saving a homeowner the cost of a replacement — seeing that result is the part I enjoy most.
MY EXPERTISE
Marble and other natural stone surfaces.
Wooden floors, doors, cabinets and furniture.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Address the problem directly rather than covering it up.
Colour, grain, texture and pattern all matter to the finished result.
Work with the existing material rather than replacing it outright.
The best repair is the one that doesn't draw attention to itself.
MATERIAL EXPERTISE
Every restoration starts with the same question: what is this material, and how has it aged?
Surface, texture, colour, grain, pattern, finish and light all affect how a repair should be approached. That understanding — more than any single technique — is what separates a visible patch from a repair that belongs.
OUR STANDARD
Careful, considered work rather than a rushed patch.
A tidy site and a tidy finish, throughout the project.
A clear, realistic view of what can and can't be restored.
Working carefully around the rest of your home.
